• Please note that the time needed to complete an individual assessment may vary between 10 and 20 hours. However, this may change for some specific types of assessments (neuropsychological, autism, and Parenting Capacity/Access), which may need additional hours.

• It considers the following: understanding the child’s cognitive (attention language memory visuospatial domain learning abilities etc.) social emotional behavioral and adaptive functioning; identifying the presence or absence of a mental or neurocognitive disorder; understanding the emotional dynamics and associated causes and factors to the presented problem; and setting a therapeutic action plan.

The Children / adolescent assessment includes:

• 2 meetings with the parents
• A visit to the school or daycare, including direct observation of the child/adolescent and interview with the staff, if necessary.
• 3 to 4 appointments with the child/adolescent to administer the psychological testing.
• Analysis of pertinent documentation (school files, previous assessments, reports from other professionals, etc.).
• Scoring and interpretation of the testing and the writing of a report.
• A case conference with the parents and the school staff, aiming at defining an action plan based in the assessment recommendations.
